Typically, I would suggest having small images of the projects, either concept drawings, plans or photographs, with a description of the work, the stage it is at
as with the portfolio, you could have each current project on its own sub-page from here to break things up and be less noisy on screen.
An example of laying out all on one page here could look something like:
